In the light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we are planning ICSV28 to be a hybrid congress with a mix of in-person and virtual participation. As the vaccination against COVID-19 progresses in many countries proceeds, we are expecting that a good number of participants will be able to travel to Singapore and take part in-person. The virtual component of the conference will help delegates who are unable to travel to engage with the conference and present their research contributions as pre-recorded videos. The in-person and virtual components of the congress will be subject to revision if events make it necessary.

Singapore is one of the safest countries in the world. It is a garden city state littered with lush green vegetation in an urban setting. Its world- class airport, efficient transportation system, mouth-watering international cuisines and ease of communication in English make it a very special place for all visitors. So, besides participating in the conference, it is also important for delegates to take the opportunity to explore, understand and experience the unique cultures of Singapore. Time and environment permitting, this is also a great opportunity for visiting many neighbouring countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Indonesia which are all under 3 hours’ flight away from Singapore.

We look forward to receiving your abstract(s) and meeting you in Singapore in July 2022.
