Topic: Acoustic modelling + challenges associated with designing Emergency Sound Systems in Road Tunnels.
This presentation aims to: Provide an overview of the acoustic challenges associated with working in road-tunnel environments Discuss design considerations to optimise acoustic models Discuss challenges associated with the design of sound systems for emergency purposes in road tunnels Provide an overview of recent road tunnel projects including a comparison of simulated and real-world results Presenter: Tim Kuschel, Acoustic Consultant, GUZ BOX design + audio (Australia) Tim Kuschel has more than 20 years of experience in environmental noise measurements, architectural acoustics and professional sound reinforcement design. His business, GUZ BOX designs + audio, specialises in architectural acoustics and audio system design for critical speech and music applications. He is actively involved with detailed design and installation of professional audio systems including audio system tuning + optimisation, and also the design, commissioning + certification of sound systems for emergency purposes. Tim Kuschel is a member of the Society of Acoustics (Singapore) and an active member of the Australian Acoustical Society (AAS), Audio Engineering Society (AES), Acoustical Society of America (ASA) and SynAudCon.
